I was sitting in the Hombu Dojo one day talking with Hatsumi Sensei. He said to look around…
All the people that are here are supposed to be here. We were brought together by fate or choice. No one was here by accident. That is how he feels about all his students who are in the Bujinkan.
I keep that feeling alive everywhere I teach. Everyone is there by fate or choice. That mysterious fact is one that I choose to honor. It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped. Choose well.
I know you are men and women of action so you may join me for training here:

Chicago, Sept. 21-22, 2013
The 3 Primary Practices from My Japan trips this year: First, I will show the difference between 避 yokeru and 避 sakeru for 無刀捕 muto dori. Second, using the tactics of 婦人の護身術 fujin no goshinjutsu when you know you cannot win against a dominant enemy. And third, how to balance the 剣 tsurugi with 陰陽 in’you so that, as Hatsumi Sensei coached us, you may become 名人 meijin.
